Uzbek mission to London presents country in UK parliamentThe presentation of the Republic of Uzbekistan took place in the British parliament. The Embassy of Uzbekistan to London jointly with the Conservative Council for Foreign Affairs and British Commonwealth organized the event. The members of the British Conservative Party that represent the UK official, public and business circles participated in the presentation, according to Jahon information agency. The "Foreign policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan" briefing was held as a part of the event. The Uzbek Mission to London presented the series of photos about Uzbekistan with the comments on social and economic achievements, cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, the tasks set to be accomplished in the Year of Youth in the country, the 2200th jubilee of the city of Tashkent, as well as the problems of Aral Sea and regional water consumption. At the briefing the British representatives were interested in main sectors of economy of Uzbekistan, structure of exports and imports, diversification of transport and communication routes, healthcare and education systems, lives of religious communities, as well as position of Uzbekistan in settling the situation in Afghanistan, nuclear non-proliferation and prospects of addressing the problems of the area adjacent to Aral.
